HMI ™118 SERIES

The HMI 118 Series Excess Flow Ball Check Valve has a free floating ball, no spring. It was designed for use in a vertical position with a vertical flow. These valves are not positive sealing and will weep when closed so the valve will reset automatically. The smaller sizes are ideal for mounting pressure gages.
This valve can be used as a back pressure ball check valve and can be used in any position when the flow is reversed. The HMI 119 Series Back Pressure Ball Check Valve would be a better choice as they are positive closing valves. The 118 Series Excess Flow Ball Check Valves should only be used where exact flows are not critical.
