*Complete Assembly
The
HMI Thermometer Well Fitting is mounted outside a pressure
tank to access the thermometer well inside the pressure tank
safely without a wrench. The inside diameter of the
thermometer well fitting is 5/8". The threads that
engage the tank are 3/4-14 NPT.
As
the operator begins unscrewing the thermometer well cap to
access the thermometer well, a leak in the thermometer well
will be evident when the product in the tank is released thru
the holes in the thermometer well cap thus alerting the
operator to screw the thermometer well cap back down. If no
product escapes, the thermometer well cap can then be safely
removed.
The
thermometer well cap has a safety seal in the top of the cap
which engages the thermometer well body fitting into the
safety seal in the thermometer well cap. The thermometer well
will then be sealed off with the O'Ring seal and the safety
seal until repairs can be made to the thermometer well.
Hydrostatically
tested to withstand 3000 psi hand tightened with no leak.
